The battle against poverty won't stop until victory is secured. Efforts will be made to pool resources, enhance support and take targeted measures to strengthen the weak links in the work on agriculture, rural areas and rural people. Related departments and local governments should shoulder their responsibilities and sustain farmers' enthusiasm for grain production.

中央农村工作会议12月20日至21日在北京召开，研究部署2020年“三农”工作。会议强调，要坚决打赢脱贫攻坚战，要一鼓作气、乘势而上，集中力量全面完成剩余脱贫任务，要巩固脱贫攻坚成果防止返贫。
The central rural work conference was held in Beijing from Dec 20 to 21, outlining the roadmap for the country's work related to agriculture, rural areas and rural people in the coming year. The conference stressed the importance of winning the battle against poverty, and called for consistent efforts to lift the rest of the poor population out of poverty and effective steps to prevent people from slipping back into poverty.
近日召开的中央农村工作会议贯彻落实习近平总书记重要讲话和中央经济工作会议精神，围绕全面建成小康社会和打赢脱贫攻坚战，研究部署2020年“三农”工作，为如期完成脱贫攻坚任务、补上全面小康“三农”领域短板提供了重要遵循。会议强调，打赢脱贫攻坚战是全面建成小康社会的重中之重，要一鼓作气、乘势而上，集中力量全面完成剩余脱贫任务。会议指出，全面建成小康社会，最突出的短板在“三农”。会议列出了“三农”领域8项补短板任务：加大农村基础设施建设力度，提高农村供水保障水平，扎实搞好农村人居环境整治，提高农村教育质量，加强农村基层医疗卫生服务，加强农村社会保障，改善乡村公共文化服务，治理农村生态环境突出问题。此外，会议还指出，要多渠道促进农民持续增收、要保障粮猪等重要农产品有效供给，以及要加强党对“三农”工作的全面领导。
