Exalt 源自拉丁语 exaltare （提升），由前缀 ex （出、出去）+词根 alt （高）组成，本义指“升高、举高”某物，现多用于工作职场，表示“提拔、提升”某人，比如将某人提拔为总经理（exalt somebody to the position of general manager）。有时也指将人提升到其不该得到的职位上，要根据具体语境予以理解。
