记得画屏初会遇，
Remember our first encounter by the picture screen,
好梦惊回，
Jolted out of a sweet dream,
望断高唐路。
Staring down Gaotang Road(1) till nothing's seen.
燕子双飞来又去，
Swallows in pairs came and went.
纱窗几度春光暮。
Out the window screen, several springs have dimmed.
那日绣帘相见处，
That day by the embroidered drapes where we met,
低眼佯行，
Eyes lowered, you pretended going away,
笑整香云缕。
Then smilingly tidied up your scented cloudlike tresses,
敛尽春山羞不语。
Shutting down a mountain of spring, too shy to speak,
人前深意难轻诉。
Hard to reveal lightly to people emotions so deep.
