暑假即将进入尾声，新学期在招手，乔治小王子也不例外。
Like children everywhere, Prince George will soon be heading back to school for the start of the new term.

去年9月7日，乔治正式开始就读于伦敦著名的私立学校托马斯巴特西学校（Thomas's Battersea）。这所学校位于伦敦西南部，距离威廉王子夫妇的住宅肯辛顿宫（Kensington Palace）仅有20分钟车程。
托马斯巴特西学校是一所男女同校的私立学校，招收年龄4岁到13岁的学生，现有560名学生，每班约有20人。同时，学费价格也不菲，每年的学费高达2万英镑（约合人民币17.7万元）。

Not only will George be settling into a new classroom and meeting a new teacher, he will also be taking on new subjects such as Science, History and Geography, as the curriculum becomes more challenging.
乔治不仅会换一个新教室、见到一位新老师，还会学习包括科学、历史、地理等在内的诸多科目，同时课程也更具挑战性。
According to the school's website, Year One pupils will build on what they learned in reception and develop key skills including joined-up handwriting, fluent speech and a greater understanding of Maths.
根据学校网站的介绍，一年级的学生将在学前班的基础上，培养更重要的能力，包括连笔书写、流利地演讲，对数学也要有更好的理解。
除了刚刚说的科学、历史、地理等常规课程，小王子还有这些课程要学习：
一、法语课
George and his classmates already know some basics in French and will expand on this through learning fairy tales and songs in a weekly 35-minute class taught by a specialist teacher.
乔治和他的同学们已经掌握了一些法语基础知识，他们每周将上35分钟的课程，通过专业老师讲授的童话故事和歌曲来进一步学习。
They will also expand their vocabulary with winter clothes, days of the week and classroom objects.

二、宗教课
In Religious Studies, taught by George's Form Teacher, children will 'develop knowledge and understanding of Christianity' and be taught to 'appreciate the cultural differences in Britain today'.

Bible study will introduce the children to key stories including Noah, Joseph and David and Goliath.

George and his classmates will be given weekly Computing lessons in a dedicated suite equipped with 22 computers.

There they will improve their mouse usage, be introduced to Microsoft Word and 'develop a greater understanding of algorithms'.

Ballet is taught to all pupils in Year One by a specialist teacher in one 35-minute lesson per week and each class is accompanied by a live pianist. The curriculum follows the Royal Academy of Dance Pre-Primary in Dance syllabus.

Don't assume George will be merely moulding Plasticine or painting papier-mache models. George has the chance to join a debating club — it's never too early to train for the Oxbridge societies — study philosophy, learn Italian or try his hand at songwriting, fencing, golf or pottery.
