A: Have you heard the term square dance? 英文不太记得了，但是大意是老年人早晚会跳，背景音乐是老歌或者是流行欢快的乐曲。
B: 现在中国很普遍，不需要花费大量时间学，只要跟着他人一起跳就行。
A: It becomes aunique phenomenon in China. I can always see a group of old people dancingoutside in my community through my window. But different people have differentopinion about it. Some complaint about the loud noise.
B: 当找不到合适的公园和公共场合时人们只能在小区里跳舞，这对老年人的身体健康有利，也可以让他们结交朋友，而且不同的人有不同的需求，不能阻止。所以要解决这一问题很难。
A: （这句话听得不好……大意是）认为政府应该出台相关政策规定音量。Scientistsfrom Fudan University have invented an instrument to reduce the noise generatedby square dancing. 适合人们听力接受能力范围的音量。但是我觉得这个规定会经过很长时间才能生效。

Thank you very much for giving my this opportunity to explain my project. Ourproject is about Chinese dialect. Why do we decide to choose this topic? Well,it all came naturally. China has a lot of dialects and ………
当地人用当地方言记录他们的事迹，我们的网站从2013年四月起开始运行，至今已经有1000多人上传了他们的音频，他们讲述了他们自己的故事，话题很多，如喜欢的中国名人。但是由于没有相关文字资料，有的方言就像一门外语一样几乎完全听不懂，所以我们后来要求上传者在上传音频的同时也要附上文字。还有很多志愿者为我们提供帮助……我们认为保护方言就是保护文化，因为语言是文化和历史的载体。

《驻赞比亚使馆临时代办潘庆江在欢送2015年度赞赴华留学生招待会上的讲话》
首先，请允许我代表中国驻赞比亚使馆向所有奖学金获得者及其家长们致以热烈祝贺，向赞比亚教育部、外交部，特别是奖学金委员会在中国政府奖学金项目实施中给予的大力支持和协助表示衷心感谢！
First of all, pleaseallow me, on behalf of the Chinese Embassy, to extend my warm congratulationsto the awardees and their families, and also my sincere gratitude to Ministryof Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Zambia, especially theBursaries Committee, for the strong support and assistance in the course of implementationof the Chinese Government Scholarship program.
教育是立国之本，也一直是中赞合作的重要领域。自1978年以来，中国政府已向近700名赞比亚学子颁发了奖学金。今年对赞中国政府奖学金名额增加至４９名，创下历史新高。
Education is thefoundation of a nation. It is also one of the importantareas of cooperation between China and Zambia. Since 1978, China has provided atotal of almost 700 government scholarships to Zambian students. To my delight,given the growing interest among Zambian students to study in China, this yearthe Chinese Government offered Zambia a record high number of 49 scholarships.
目前共有约1700多名赞比亚学生在中国深造。这不仅成为中赞人文密切交流的重要体现，也让我们对两国教育交流合作的未来更加充满信心。
Right now about 1700 Zambian students, including scholarship and self-sponsored students, arestudying in China. It is not only a demonstration of theclose people-to-people exchanges between China and Zambia, but also a greatinspiration for our furtherance of bilateral exchanges and cooperation ineducational field in the future.
临别之际，我想对即将赴华学习生活的同学们提几点希望：一是希望你们把握机遇、刻苦学习。大家从众多候选人中脱颖而出，机会难得。面对全新的语言、文化和生活环境，希望大家勇于克服各种困难和挑战，力争取得优异学习成绩，不辜负你们父母和祖国的厚望。
Just before departure,I wish to share some tips with the students. Firstly, Ihope you will seize the opportunity and study hard. Each of you successfullycame to the fore from the long list of candidates and got this hard-won opportunity.There is no royal road to learning. Everybody has to lay the foundations of hissuccess by study and hard work. In an environment of different language,culture and life in China, I hope you will overcome any difficulties andchallenges with courage, make full use of time, acquire professional knowledgeand strive for excellent results so as to live up to the expectations of yourparents and your mother country.
二是希望你们认识中国、传播友谊。希望你们把赞比亚优良文化传统以及赞比亚人民的友好情谊带到中国，与此同时，多接触中国社会、了解中国文化、结交中国朋友，成为增进两国人民认知和友谊的使者。
Secondly, I hope youwill get to know China well and enhance friendship. Studyingabroad is also a rich and colorful tour of culture and friendship. I hope youwill exhibit in China the fine Zambian cultural tradition and the friendlinessof the Zambian people, in the meanwhile, utilize your spare time to meet withthe Chinese society, know more of Chinese culture and make friends with Chinesepeople so as to become the envoys of promoting the understanding and friendshipbetween the two countries.
三是希望你们学有所成、报效国家。我看到，大家选择了在工程、医学、电子信息技术、金融、国际贸易、国际政治等诸多学科上进行深造。赞比亚是一片充满希望的发展热土，中赞各领域合作前景广阔，这必将为大家未来施展才干提供广大空间。
Last but not theleast, I hope you will be able to serve your country after successful completionof your study. I note with pleasure the specialties youhave chosen which include engineering, medicine, information technology,finance, international trade, international politics and so on. Zambia is apromising country of development. There are broad prospects of cooperation invarious fields between China and Zambia. Thus great opportunities lie ahead foryou to display your talents.
我期待着大家顺利完成学业，投身到促进中赞交流合作的事业中，为弘扬两国友好和建设自己的国家做出积极贡献。最后，祝愿年轻朋友们旅途顺利、在华学习生活愉快、梦想成真！祝中赞友谊长存。
