meat与flesh这两个名词均含“肉”之意。
meat : 是肉类的总称，指食用的肉，但不包括鱼类的肉。
- Meat and fish are relatively expensive.
肉和鱼相对来说比较贵。 - The meat isn't quite done yet.
这肉还不太熟。
flesh : 主要指人体或动物身上的肌肉组织，是从生理角度着眼的。也指动物的肉食。
- The thorn went deep into the flesh of my hand.
刺深深扎进了我的手。 - Vegetarians don't eat animal flesh (= meat).
素食者不吃肉。 - The flesh of the fruit is white.
这种水果的果肉是白色的。
