imagination : 含义广，一般不含贬义。可指认真、带有启发性的想象，也可指凭记忆的想象或凭空想象事物的能力。
- My younger son has a very vivid (= active) imagination.
我的小儿子想象力很丰富。 - I can never make up stories - I have absolutely no imagination.
我从来都不会编故事——我根本没什么想象力。 - There's a sex scene in the film which apparently leaves nothing to the imagination (= shows sexual parts of the body very clearly).

fancy : 指脱离实际的幻想或幻想力，常暗含所想象的东西近乎怪诞的意味。
