criminal : 侧重指某种行为是违犯法律的，因而应受到惩罚。

guilty : 主要指某种行为违反道德标准，也可指违犯法律。
- The jury has to decide whether a person is guilty or innocent of a crime.
陪审团必须就一个人是否有罪作出裁决。 - A person accused of a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
一个被指控犯罪的人在被证明有罪之前是假定无罪的。 - The defendent pleaded guilty (= they formally admitted their guilt in court) to the charge of manslaughter.
被告在法庭上认罪，承认了对其过失杀人罪的指控。
