区别辨析cover与lid

这两个名词都有“盖子、遮盖物”之意。

cover : 泛指所有的遮盖物。包括盖子或书籍、杂志的封面等。

• I keep my computer printer under a protective plastic cover.
  我用塑料保护罩盖住电脑打印机。
• Remove the packaging and pierce the plastic cover before microwaving.
  去掉包装，扎破保护膜，然后用微波炉加热。

lid : 通常指可以揭开的如箱盖、坛盖、壶盖等盖子。

• Can you get the lid off this jar?
  你能把罐子的盖打开吗？
• Put a lid on the saucepan.
  给平底深锅盖上盖儿。
