这两个名词都有“天气、气候”之意。
climate : 指某一地区常年的气候情况，包括气温、降雨量。还可用作比喻。
- a hot/dry/harsh climate
炎热／干燥／恶劣的气候 - The Mediterranean climate is good for growing citrus fruits and grapes.
地中海气候适宜柑橘属水果和葡萄的生长。 - When we retire, we're going to move to a warmer climate.
我们打算退休后搬到气候比较暖和的地方去。
weather : 指某地区具体的短时间内的天气，包括晴雨寒暖等情况。
- bad/good/cold/dry/hot/stormy/warm/wet/etc. weather
坏／好／冷的／干燥的／炎热的／暴风雨／温暖的／潮湿的天气（等等） - The weather in the mountains can change very quickly, so take appropriate clothing.
山里的天气瞬息万变，所以要带上合适的衣服。 - We're going to have a picnic, weather permitting (= if the weather is good enough).
如果天气好的话，我们打算去野餐。
